IGOR - Concept of an In-House 6-Axis Robot
At IGMR, we have designed an in-house robot to assist us in the future with virtual representations and simulations for applications and research projects.
Different configurations of the robot with different numbers of degrees of freedom are available. Each configuration has different types of end effectors, wrists and arms. All configurations are controllable via Robot Operating System ROS.Thus, IGOR serves as a virtual prototype in research and teaching.
A special development is the IGOR Tper, which has a non-spherical wrist. Sophisticated motion planning can be implemented and tested on this robot.
